On mac, simply triple-click the text and the whole paragraph will be selected.
Note for iPhone or iPad users: this only works if you have a mouse connected.
There are 2 main ways to merge your highlights:
Press Shift+Option+Z (Mac) or use the undo button in the toolbar to undo the last highlight action.
First select the new color you want from the toolbar, then tap or click an existing highlight to change it to that color.
Select a portion of an existing highlight using a different color (or use the eraser) to split it into two separate highlights.
Tags let you organize highlights with custom names and colors.
PDF, plain text, and JSON — all formats include source links. You can also share highlights via the system share sheet to Notes, Mail, or other apps.
All highlights are saved locally on your device. Nothing is sent to any server — no account needed, no syncing. Your data stays private and offline.
Not currently. Highlights are stored locally on each device and are not synced.
Toggle highlighting on/off, switch colors, activate the eraser, undo, show current tag, etc.
